Wow!!! Our friend Bill found the parent of this beauty on it’s very first bloom as a seedling. Bill must have spotted this huge fully green thing with a ruffled dark purple Picotee from 150 feet!. The only reason I did not introduce that one is the bud count was not to my liking. Next season I was fortunate to get 832 AB and so kept her to honor Bill Waldrop. This is just a one shot stock photo. It is marvelous! Triple thick and glowing. Thanks for your friendship Bill… One note, the seed pods are also huge. Like a Louisiana Iris. Makes outstanding kids.

Nathalie, pronounced Natalie, visited us this bloom season from Quebec Canada. In our conversations she asked what I thought was my best/favorite numbered daylily. I went right to… #1808. Another daylily that as I like to call “Genetically jumped the fence”. Much, MUCH bigger, teethier than anything!... This gorgeous true red toothy daylily is beyond belief.
Red Red, with White White teeth, and with these weird long red tentacles. I had something like Wolverine in mind. Opens perfectly despite ALL that is going on. Absolutely one of the best things I have ever done. That says a lot. I kept this back an extra year for breeding so have a better price to pass along. Should be over $500. $250.00

I wanted to save this one for next year, but… I also wanted to offer a GREAT Edged Purple – Limited, like less than 50. WILDLY SPECTACULAR is what I would call “A Perfect Daylily”. It is in my book – Flawless, and truly Spectacular. You just cannot see it in a picture. Not even close! I chose this image since it showed-off the green edging. It is a Big sparkling presence. But, in the sun the purple colors fade, so imagine it darker rich Plum.
WILDLY SPECTACULAR has that TRFK GREEN throat, the lilac watermark also painted into the edging. Blooms open perfectly and flat. See my trademark petal edge/tip – Gone, so No Hanging-up. This has taken me 15 years to breed in. And look at her specs, perfect, strong, healthy. Yes, it is actually beginning to FINALLY happen. I took WILDLY SPECTACULAR to every big edged dark hem I have.
