FOOTLONG Pierce G. 52121-A (Applique Prism x Seedling) x (Unknown x Tetra Rose F. Kennedy) SEV, EEE, Ever-bloomer, 30” high, 11-11.75 “ flower, 4-way branching + prolifs, 25-30 buds, Fragrant. Bi-Tone. Ever bloomer…
When they ask you – say “I’ll have the Avocado footlong with Jacaranda please – For here”. Now… I could lie and say this was a twelve-inch bloom, but why lie. She is totally gorgeous. In fact, when François was here this past spring, he just had to have it - “Any Cost”. So we let him have a DF early. He has spent tens of thousands here so, see this is what happens when you come and visit… FOOTLONG is really neat. Cool… Like all of mine, a Snap Open EMO and always perfect. Glistening in the sun, covered with 100% Diamond Dusting, or glowing in the shade emanating GREEN. Twice ((DOUBLE)) the reg. Tetraploid texture, this Thick, Ribbed, GREEN daylily is outlined in light Jacaranda purple. Ditto on the sepals. Honestly, an edge, or anything else, would just ruin the simplicity of this elegant giant. The extra bling’s are in the Heavy Ribbing, and the Darker Veining, plus – HELLO - It’s a Big Green Daylily!!! In addition, FOOTLONG is another Ever blooming, Semi-evergreen to possibly Dormant daylily! If she ever got a chance to rest properly, like with a long winter, she may have more buds too. I reckon, in a climate where people say they get no rebloom, FOOTLONG will go once, twice, even three times. Please let me know. I am a proud papa! Fertile both ways, but pods need some shade.
